Kasbu cards are the building blocks of your page. Unlike Linktree's list of links or Beacons' flat blocks, Kasbu cards can be any size, in any position, dragged and dropped into a grid layout that looks exactly the way you want.

This guide covers every card type available — what it does, who it's for, and when to use it.

What Is a Kasbu Card?

A card is a resizable, draggable block on your Kasbu grid. Each card has a type — Link, Spotify, YouTube, Image, Text, Map, and more — and can be resized from a tiny square to a full-width banner.

The grid has 8 columns on desktop and 4 on mobile, with each row being 80px tall. You control exactly how wide and tall each card is. That's what makes Kasbu pages look nothing like a Linktree.

Link Cards

Link Card

The fundamental card. Paste any URL, give it a title, and optionally an icon or image. Works for any website: your YouTube channel, your shop, your newsletter, your latest project.

Best for: Any external link you want people to click.

GitHub Card

Enter your GitHub username and the card displays your live contribution graph — the familiar green activity calendar, right on your page.

Best for: Developers, open-source contributors, and engineers who want to show their work.

Media & Video Cards

TV Card (YouTube)

Embeds a YouTube video or playlist directly on your page. Visitors can watch without leaving your Kasbu. Goes wide for the best experience.

Best for: YouTubers, video creators, anyone with a video they want front and center.

Vimeo Card

Same concept as the YouTube card but for Vimeo — paste your Vimeo URL and the video embeds natively.

Best for: Filmmakers, videographers, and creators who publish on Vimeo for quality control.

TikTok Video Card

Embed a specific TikTok video directly on your page. Visitors see the video — not just a link to it.

Best for: TikTok creators who want to showcase their best video without sending people off-page.

Giphy Card

Embeds an animated GIF from Giphy. Perfect for personality, humor, or visual flair.

Best for: Adding movement and character to your page — use it as a reaction, a mascot, or a signature moment.

Loom Card

Embed a Loom video — screen recordings, walkthroughs, and async updates play directly on your page.

Best for: Founders, educators, and freelancers sharing demos, tutorials, or a personal video intro.

Music Cards

Spotify Card

Embeds a Spotify player — track, album, playlist, or artist page — directly on your Kasbu. Visitors can listen without leaving your page.

Best for: Musicians, podcasters, and playlist curators. One of the most-used Kasbu cards.

Apple Music Card

Embeds a native Apple Music player directly on your page — your song, album, or playlist plays right there without leaving Kasbu.

Best for: Musicians who release on Apple Music and want listeners to hear their work immediately.

SoundCloud Card

Embeds your SoundCloud track or set directly on the page.

Best for: Producers, DJs, and independent artists who release on SoundCloud.

Deezer Card

Embeds Deezer music content for your audience on that platform.

Best for: Musicians whose audience is primarily on Deezer (especially in Europe and Latin America).

Content Cards

Image Card

Upload any image — it becomes a card on your grid. Tap it to open a link (optional). Goes from a small thumbnail to a full-width banner depending on size. You can also add multiple images to a single card and it becomes a swipeable carousel — a mini gallery in one grid slot.

Best for: Photographers, designers, artists — showcase your work directly on the grid.

Text Card

A card that's pure text. Use it for your bio, a quote, a manifesto, a description, or any copy you want front and center.

Best for: Introducing yourself, adding context between cards, or sharing a thought.

Separator

A thin horizontal line that divides sections of your grid. Simple, but useful for creating visual hierarchy.

Best for: Creators with many cards who want clear visual sections.

Animated Cards

The Text card also comes in animated styles that add motion to your page — plus an animated counter:

Velocity Text

An animated text style where your words move across the card horizontally — think scrolling marquee, but modern and smooth.

Best for: Announcements, taglines, "Currently working on:" type updates that add motion to your page.

Spinning Text

An animated text style where your words rotate around a center point in a circle. A striking visual effect.

Best for: Logos, taglines, or creative expressions that benefit from circular motion.

Number Card

An animated counter that counts up to a number you set. Great for showcasing milestones.

Best for: "10,000 subscribers", "500 clients served", "7 years of experience" — any number that carries weight.

Design & Portfolio Cards

Figma Card

Embed Figma prototypes and designs directly in your page to share your work — visitors can explore the file without leaving Kasbu.

Best for: Product designers and UX folks who want their actual work, not screenshots of it.

Canva Card

Embed a Canva design — presentations, graphics, or documents render directly on your grid.

Best for: Marketers, educators, and creators who build their visuals in Canva.

Behance Card

Embed a Behance project so your portfolio pieces display right on your page.

Best for: Designers and illustrators with a Behance portfolio.

Flickr Card

Embed a Flickr photo directly on your grid.

Best for: Photographers who publish on Flickr and want their shots on display.

Genially Card

Display interactive presentations and visual content created in Genially on your page.

Best for: Educators and communicators who make interactive content.

Social Post Cards

X Post Card

Embed a post from X (Twitter) — your pinned announcement, best-performing post, or a testimonial displays right on your grid.

Best for: Highlighting a specific post instead of just linking your profile.

Reddit Post Card

Embed a Reddit post directly on your page.

Best for: Community builders, moderators, or anyone whose big moment happened on Reddit.

Commerce Cards

Product Card

Showcase a product with an image, a price, and a buy button that links wherever you sell — your shop, Gumroad, Etsy, anywhere.

Best for: Creators selling merch, digital products, or services who want a storefront feel without a storefront.

Contact & Communication Cards

WhatsApp Card

A direct link to open a WhatsApp chat with you. One tap on mobile opens the conversation.

Best for: Businesses, freelancers, or creators who want direct conversation starters.

Email Card

A mailto link styled as a card. One tap opens the default email app with your address pre-filled.

Best for: Professionals who prefer email as their primary contact method.

Phone Card

A tel: link — tap it on mobile and it opens the phone dialer.

Best for: Local businesses, service providers, or anyone who takes calls.

QR Code Card

Generates a QR code from any URL you enter. Visitors can scan it with their phone camera.

Best for: Sharing a link in physical spaces, events, or when someone wants to save your info to their phone.

Scheduling & Productivity Cards

Calendly Card

Embeds your Calendly booking widget directly into your Kasbu. Visitors can schedule a call or meeting without leaving your page.

Best for: Coaches, consultants, agencies, and anyone who books meetings — it removes an entire step from the conversion process.

Google Calendar Card

Embeds a Google Calendar so visitors can see your availability or upcoming events.

Best for: Speakers, performers, educators, or anyone with a public schedule.

Typeform Card

Embeds a Typeform survey or form directly on your page.

Best for: Collecting leads, running surveys, or gathering audience feedback without sending people to a separate URL.

Google Docs Card

Embeds a Google Doc directly on your Kasbu page.

Best for: Sharing a public resume, document, pricing guide, or any written resource.

Location & Utility Cards

Map Card

Shows a location of your choice as a beautifully rendered Apple Maps view — a clean, static snapshot of your spot on the map.

Best for: Restaurants, studios, gyms, local businesses, or any creator with a physical presence worth showing.

WiFi Card

Displays WiFi credentials in a scannable format — name, password, and a QR code visitors can scan to connect instantly.

Best for: Cafes, coworking spaces, studios, or any business with guest WiFi.

Resume / Experience Card

A structured card showing your professional experience — job titles, companies, dates.

Best for: Professionals, job seekers, and freelancers who want to show their background without linking to LinkedIn.

HTML / Code Card

A raw HTML embed — paste any embed code and it renders directly on your page. Works with anything that provides an embed snippet.

Best for: Advanced users who want to embed third-party tools, widgets, or custom content not covered by native cards.

File Card

File Card

Upload a file — PDF, image, document — and visitors can download it directly from your card.

Best for: Press kits, portfolios, menus, brochures, or any file you want to distribute.

Card Materials

Beyond the type, every card has a material — the surface it's rendered with. Kasbu has five: Fill (solid color), Gradient, Frost (a new liquid-glass material with real refraction), Glass (translucent blur), and Transparent. Mixing materials is one of the fastest ways to make a grid feel designed rather than assembled.

How Cards Work Together: Layout Tips

The power of Kasbu isn't any individual card — it's how they combine in the grid.

The hero stack: Put a wide Image or Spotify card at the top spanning the full width, then a row of three link cards below. Immediately shows who you are and what you do.

The musician layout: Spotify card top-left (tall), YouTube card top-right, Image cards filling the bottom row. Everything plays from one page.

The consultant layout: Text card with your pitch spanning full width, Calendly card below that fills half the grid — visitors book right there.

The developer layout: GitHub card and Spotify card side by side (personality + work), YouTube card for any talks, link cards for projects.

The grid is yours — there's no wrong answer.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many cards can I add to Kasbu for free?

The free plan includes 25 cards — more than enough for most pages (the median page uses around 4). Pro removes the limit.

Can I resize any card?

Most cards offer multiple sizes — drag the corner handles to go from a small button to a full-width banner. A few have fixed formats that match their content: TikTok videos are always 2×4 (vertical), and separators are full-width rows.

What's the difference between a Link card and other social cards?

A Link card is a plain URL with a custom title. Social cards (Spotify, YouTube, TikTok, Calendly) actually embed the content — visitors interact with it directly on your page without leaving.

Do embedded cards (Spotify, YouTube) auto-play?

No. Embedded media cards don't auto-play out of respect for visitors. They click play when they're ready.

Can I have different cards on mobile vs desktop?

Kasbu automatically adapts your grid for mobile (4-column) and desktop (8-column). Cards reflow to fit the screen size without any extra setup.

What cards are exclusive to Kasbu Pro?

None — every card type is available on the free plan, from Spotify and YouTube to Calendly and the animated text styles. Pro unlocks unlimited cards and pages, premium backgrounds and materials, 30 GB storage, and advanced analytics.
