Bento.me Alternatives in 2026: 10 Options With Checked Prices

Bento.me closed on February 13, 2026. We checked on October 14, 2026: bento.me, any bento.me/yourname and Bento's own shutdown page all answer with a permanent redirect (HTTP 301) to linktr.ee, Linktree's homepage. Your old link does not open your Linktree profile, even if you moved there. It opens Linktree's sign-up page.

This guide compares 10 places to rebuild. Kasbu wrote it, and Kasbu is on the list. So every price below comes from the product's own pricing page, checked on October 14, 2026, every claim links to its source, and one section lists where Kasbu is not the best pick.

What happened to Bento.me, in five dates

• June 5 and 6, 2023: Bento announces it has been acquired by Linktree. Terms were not disclosed, and the same day Linktree laid off 27% of its staff in Australia and New Zealand (Bento on X, Tech.eu).
• December 14, 2023: Linktree buys another link-in-bio, Koji, and closes it on January 31, 2024. Koji users got three months of Linktree Pro as a trial (TechCrunch).
• December 18, 2025: Bento announces it will shut down on February 13, 2026. That is 57 days of notice, with the holidays in between (Eike Drescher, Bento team, on X).
• February 13, 2026: the announced end of service. Bento's notice said user and profile data would be deleted and pages would redirect to Linktree (Roboin, AlternativeTo).
• October 14, 2026: every bento.me URL we tested redirects to Linktree's homepage (our own check).

How we compared them

Bento's defining feature was a free-form grid: tiles of different sizes that you drag and resize, instead of a vertical list of buttons. Its users said it in their own words: "linktree is utility. bento is expression." (@kalashvasaniya on X, Dec 19, 2025). So we split the options into two groups: tools with a real card grid, and popular tools that are not a grid.

For each one we checked four things on its own website: the free plan's limits, whether free pages carry the tool's branding, the cheapest plan that removes it, and custom domains. Google suggests "bento alternatives reddit" because people distrust lists written by vendors. That's fair, since this is one. When we couldn't confirm a fact on the product's own site, the table says "Not confirmed".

Grid alternatives (closest to Bento)

1. Kasbu

Kasbu is a drag-and-drop grid of resizable cards: 8 columns on desktop and 4 on mobile. The two layouts are edited separately, so the phone version isn't a squeezed copy of the desktop one.

• Free plan: 25 cards and 3 pages per profile, 2 profiles per account, 150 MB of uploads and all 36 card types, including Spotify, YouTube, GitHub with your contribution graph, map, Calendly, Figma, Behance, X posts, QR, Wi-Fi QR and a résumé card.
• Design is free: since October 13, 2026, page colors (a 24-color palette plus a free color picker), 30 animated background effects, background photos and all 14 fonts are free on every plan.
• Wallet and QR: an Apple Wallet and Google Wallet pass for your page, plus a profile QR code. Both are free.
• Analytics: total visits plus a full breakdown of today's traffic (devices, countries, browsers) on Free. Pro adds 7, 30 and 90-day history and city-level data.
• Branding: free pages show visitors a small follow button with the Kasbu logo at the end of the page ("Join yourname on Kasbu"). On Pro the button just says "Follow", without the Kasbu logo.
• Pro: $4.99/month or $54.99/year, with a 14-day trial the first time. It adds unlimited cards and pages, a custom domain, 30 GB of storage, up to 10 profiles, embedding your grid on another site and sound on YouTube cards.
• Your data: Settings → Account → Download my data gives you a ZIP with your pages, cards and every file you uploaded, on every plan.

2. Avely

Avely is a grid link-in-bio with 25 widget types, including Calendly, Cal.com, a "Last Video" block that updates itself and a Contacts block (avely.me). Its Business Card "works with Apple Wallet and Google Wallet" (Avely Business Card), and the Pro plan adds AI-built forms.

• Free: Avely branding, analytics for the last 24 hours, video up to 25 MB.
• Creator: €3.99/month or €39.99/year. The Avely branding stays.
• Pro: €11.99/month or €99.99/year. Removes the branding and adds a custom domain. There's a 7-day trial.

Best for collecting contacts and form responses from your page. More detail in Kasbu vs Avely.

3. own.page

own.page uses the same grid as Kasbu, 8 columns on desktop and 4 on mobile with square cells, and a separate mobile layout. Its free plan is the most generous on links: unlimited links, 1 page, 3 "advanced widgets", 10 images per page, video up to 10 MB, 7-day analytics and a QR code (own.page pricing).

Pro costs $79.90 a year (about $6.65 a month) and adds 5 pages, unlimited widgets and images, full analytics history, a custom domain and removes the own.page branding. The site is in English only. More detail in Kasbu vs own.page.

4. tini.bio

tini.bio is a drag-and-drop grid. Its free plan allows 6 blocks, 1 content page and unlimited social icons, and Pro costs $9 a month, according to its own comparison page (tini.bio vs Bento). It suggests rebuilding a Bento page by hand. More detail in Kasbu vs tini.bio.

5. taap.bio

taap.bio has a Bento-style grid with separate desktop and mobile layouts and a custom domain. There is no free plan: after a 14-day trial it costs $19 a month (taap.bio). More detail in Kasbu vs taap.bio.

Popular alternatives that are not a grid

6. Linktree

Your bento.me link already sends visitors to Linktree, but to its homepage, not to a profile. Linktree's free plan has unlimited basic links and 1 featured link, and removing the Linktree logo requires Pro at $15 a month (Linktree paid features). It has no custom domain on any plan: "We don't offer the option to use a custom domain to replace the linktr.ee URL" (Linktree Help, Oct 15, 2024).

Bento's notice promised an email with migration instructions and a "special Linktree Pro offer". The terms of that offer were never published. Your Linktree QR code is free to download; custom QR styling is paid (Linktree Help). Best for people who want the widest set of integrations and don't need a grid. See Linktree vs Kasbu.

7. Carrd

Carrd builds one-page websites from sections, not a grid of ready-made cards. It is the cheapest way on this list to get your own domain: Pro Standard costs $19 a year (Carrd Pro). Best for people who are happy to design every block by hand.

8. Beacons

Beacons is built for selling: its free plan takes a 9% fee on sales and includes 50 emails a month, and a custom domain comes with Creator at $10 a month (Beacons pricing). It embeds Spotify, SoundCloud and Apple Music. Best for creators whose page is mainly a shop.

9. Milkshake

Milkshake is the most visual of the non-grid tools, but its "Cards" are full-screen pages you swipe through like Instagram Stories, so there is no overview of everything at once as on Bento (milkshake.app). A custom domain needs Pro+ at $99.99 a year (Milkshake pricing).

10. Taplink

Taplink's PRO plan costs about $4 a month when billed yearly, with a 3-month minimum on other billing periods, and BUSINESS adds a custom domain (Taplink prices). Its free plan doesn't allow images, video or music, which rules it out as a free Bento replacement. Its "Custom block" lets you imitate a grid inside a list (Taplink blog).

Where Kasbu is not the best pick

• Cheapest custom domain: Carrd Pro Standard costs $19 a year with your own domain. Kasbu Pro costs $54.99 a year.
• Unlimited links for free: own.page and Linktree don't cap links on their free plans. Kasbu caps Free at 25 cards per profile. Bento's free plan didn't cap them either: "what I love about it is unlimited links at free tier" (AliMammadli on Hacker News, Aug 3, 2024).
• Contacts and forms: Avely has a Contacts block, its own forms and an AI form builder on Pro (Avely pricing). Kasbu only embeds Google Forms or Typeform, and has no contact card (vCard) and no "latest video" card.
• Selling: Beacons and Linktree have built-in stores and email tools. Kasbu's product card links out to your store; it doesn't take payments on your page.

Two things other Bento alternative pages get wrong

"bento.me links don't go anywhere now." Koblio wrote this in March 2026 and Avely in July 2026. On October 14, 2026, every bento.me URL we tested returned a 301 redirect to linktr.ee.

"Your bento.me link redirects to your new Linktree." It doesn't. Every bento.me URL lands on the same Linktree homepage, whoever it belonged to.

One more warning: bentome.link is not Bento. It uses the Bento.me name, but every button on it leads to Taplink invite links (checked October 14, 2026).

Looking for someone's Bento page?

Google suggests searches like "bento.me/masala": people looking for one person's page. That page no longer exists, and bento.me/anyname opens Linktree's homepage. To find the person, check their Instagram, TikTok or X bio for a new link, or browse Kasbu Explore.

How to not lose your page again

Bento raised a $1.6M pre-seed round led by Sequoia Arc in February 2023 (TechCrunch) and still closed three years later, in February 2026. No company can promise it will exist forever, including us. Three things you control:

• Keep a backup. On Kasbu, Settings → Account → Download my data gives you a ZIP with your pages, cards and uploaded files, on every plan. Check whether your next tool has an equivalent before you build there.
• Use your own domain. If yourname.com points at your page, changing tools later means updating one DNS record instead of every bio, QR code and business card. Kasbu, Avely, own.page and Carrd offer this on paid plans. Linktree doesn't.
• Keep a list of where your link lives: bios, email signature, CV, YouTube descriptions, printed QR codes. A dead bento.me link in a printed QR can't be fixed, only reprinted.

Frequently asked questions

When did Bento shut down?

Bento.me shut down on February 13, 2026, after announcing it on December 18, 2025. That was about two years and eight months after Linktree announced the acquisition in June 2023.

Why did Bento shut down?

According to Bento's notice, as reproduced by AlternativeTo, Linktree had added features "inspired by" Bento's layouts and embeds and decided to integrate them into its main product. We found no statement published by Linktree itself.

Where does my old bento.me link go now?

To Linktree's homepage, with a permanent (301) redirect. We tested bento.me, www.bento.me, bento.me/yourname and Bento's shutdown page on October 14, 2026. None of them leads to a user's Linktree profile.

Which Bento alternative looks most like Bento?

Look for a free-form grid of resizable cards. Kasbu, own.page, Avely, tini.bio and taap.bio work that way. Kasbu and own.page share the same 8-column desktop grid. Milkshake is visual but uses swipeable full-screen cards, Carrd builds pages from sections, and Linktree is a list with paid grid collections.

Is there a free Bento alternative with a grid?

Yes. Kasbu, Avely, own.page and tini.bio have free plans. Kasbu, Avely and own.page show their branding on free pages; for tini.bio we couldn't confirm it. taap.bio has no free plan. Kasbu's free plan has 25 cards and 3 pages per profile, and every card type and design option.

Can I use my own domain?

On Kasbu, Avely, own.page and taap.bio, yes, on a paid plan. Carrd offers it from $19 a year. Linktree doesn't offer custom domains on any plan.

Can I use a Bento alternative as a portfolio?
