Almost every link in bio comparison is written by one of the tools being compared. This one too: it's published by Kasbu. So the deal here is to use the same criteria for every tool, ours included, to cite the source of every price, and to say where Kasbu is not the best choice.
All prices below were checked on 14 October 2026 on the official websites, with one exception noted (Linktree).
Quick summary
| Platform | Layout | Free plan | First paid plan | Custom domain |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kasbu | Grid of cards | 25 cards and 3 pages per profile | $4.99/month or $54.99/year | On Pro |
| Linktree | List of links | Unlimited links, with branding | Starter: $8/month (US) | Not offered |
| Beacons | Page with a store and email | Store with a 9% fee, 50 emails/month | Creator: $10/month or $100/year | On Creator |
| Taplink | Ready-made blocks, 300 templates | Basic, no time limit | PRO (price not shown) | Not confirmed |
| Carrd | One-page website | Up to 3 sites, with branding | Pro Lite: $9/year | Pro Standard: $19/year |
Kasbu
The page is a grid of cards: blocks of different sizes that you drag and resize, in the style Bento.me made popular. On desktop there are 8 columns; on mobile, 4, and you can arrange each version separately.
Where it shines. Photos, video, music and booking show up on the page itself: a Spotify or YouTube card plays right there, and the Calendly card opens the booking without leaving. There are 36 card types, all on the free plan, along with the whole look (colors, backgrounds, patterns and 14 fonts). Every page gets a free QR code and a pass for Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, so the same page works as a virtual business card. WhatsApp, Google Forms, Typeform and Calendly cards turn a visit into a message or a booked slot.
Where it falls short. There's no built-in store or email marketing: the product card links to your shop, with no checkout on the page. The free plan goes up to 25 cards per profile, so if you want fifty plain links for free, Linktree is a better fit. It shows a small "Follow on Kasbu" button with the logo, which goes away on Pro. It's less well known than Linktree. And the grid gives you more freedom, which also means more time building it than just stacking buttons.
Pick it if: your work is visual (design, photography, music, tattoos, architecture) or your page needs to show your work and get contacted on the first screen.

Linktree
It's the name everyone knows, and that's worth something: nobody finds a Linktree link in a bio strange.
Where it shines. The free plan doesn't limit the number of links and already includes basic analytics, according to the official pricing page. You can group links into collections, which can be shown stacked, as a grid, as a carousel or featured.
Where it falls short. The base is still a vertical list of buttons, and the free plan carries Linktree branding. A custom domain doesn't exist on any plan: the help center says they don't offer the option to swap the linktr.ee address for your own domain. The price changes by country and is shown in local currency; in the US, according to u2l.ai (13 October 2026), Starter costs $8 a month and Pro $15. The history is worth knowing too: Linktree announced it was buying Bento in June 2023 and shut it down on 13 February 2026. In December 2023 it bought Koji, which closed on 31 January 2024.
Pick it if: your page really is a list of links and you want the industry standard.

Beacons
It was built for creators who make money from their audience, and that's where it stands out.
Where it shines. The free plan already has a store for digital products, email sending (50 a month) and a media kit that updates itself for landing brand deals. If you sell courses, presets or ebooks, having a store and an email list in one place saves you other subscriptions.
Where it falls short. On the free plan, Beacons takes 9% of every sale. A custom domain only comes with Creator, which costs $10 a month ($100 a year). Creator Plus costs $30 a month. If you just want a page with your links, it's more tool than you need.
Pick it if: your page needs to sell, not just point somewhere else.
Taplink
It's aimed at businesses that serve customers over messaging and sell from a catalog.
Where it shines. There are 300 ready-made templates and links that open a chat in messaging apps with one tap. The Basic plan is free with no time limit. PRO adds price lists; BUSINESS adds forms, payments and digital products. Paid plans are 30% off on the six-month plan and 50% off on the yearly one.
Where it falls short. The visual result looks more like a form than a portfolio: if your work is visual, it doesn't help you show it. Forms and payments, the tool's strong points, are on the most expensive plan. And the pricing page didn't show prices when we checked, so confirm the price in your account before you decide.
Pick it if: you run a local business and need to get messages and orders more than you need to impress visually.

Carrd
Carrd builds one-page websites, and a lot of people use one as their link in bio.
Where it shines. Total layout freedom and the lowest price on the list: Pro Lite costs $9 a year and Pro Standard, with a custom domain, $19 a year. The free plan allows up to 3 sites. If you have an eye for design, you can get results the others can't.
Where it falls short. You build everything from scratch, section by section. Forms, widgets and embeds only come with Pro Standard. The free plan shows "Made with Carrd" in the footer and doesn't accept a custom domain. If you want to publish in ten minutes, it's too much work.
Pick it if: you have patience for design and want full control for little money.

What it costs per year
Kasbu isn't the cheapest: Carrd costs less, as long as you build the site yourself. Among the tools made for link in bio, Kasbu Pro ($54.99 a year) costs less than Linktree Starter (about $77 a year in the US) and Beacons Creator ($100). Kasbu Pro and Beacons Creator already include a custom domain. On Linktree, a custom domain doesn't exist on any plan.
Kasbu bills in US dollars, and checkout shows the converted amount. If you've never tried Pro, you get a 14-day trial.
What about Bento.me?
If you landed here looking for Bento: it shut down on 13 February 2026. Linktree had announced the acquisition in June 2023, and Bento's shutdown notice said user data would be deleted. We checked on 14 October 2026: every bento.me address redirects to Linktree's homepage, not to the new profile of people who moved.
If you liked Bento's grid, Kasbu, own.page, Avely, tini.bio and taap.bio use that layout. We explain everything in our guide to what happened to Bento.me.
How to choose without getting it wrong
Three questions usually settle it:
1. What does the visitor need to do when they arrive? If it's buy, look at Beacons. If it's send a message or place an order, Taplink or Kasbu. If it's see your work, Kasbu or Carrd. If it's just click a link, Linktree does the job.
2. Is your work visual? If so, a list of buttons wastes the best thing you have. A photographer who puts three large photos on the first screen shows more than three buttons that say "portfolio", "shoots" and "prices".
3. Will you print this link? If it's going on a business card, a shop window or a name badge, check that the tool generates a QR code on the plan you'll use. On Kasbu, the QR code and the phone wallet pass are on the free plan. The step-by-step is in our guide to QR codes for Instagram.
What matters more than the tool you pick
What changes a page's results the most is the order of what's on it. A page with fifteen links of the same size doesn't tell the visitor what to do.
Pick one main action and put it at the top: "book a shoot", "ask for a quote on WhatsApp", "listen to the new single". Leave the rest below, smaller. On Kasbu this is literal: the main card can span the full width of the grid.
And test it on a phone before you share it. That's where almost all link in bio traffic comes from.
